Otherwise youd have to compile PyQt (and potentially Qt) by hand, which is cumbersome.

I was able to run QualCoder, but I assume a few features wouldn't work because of the missing modules. Why not simply install it via apt-get sudo apt-get install python3-pyqt5. In the extracted directory, build and install QualCoder: python3 setup.py install.
